Hangry Trucking hauls refrigerated freight and we are Taking applications for qualified drivers to become part of our team.

• Applicants must have recent verifiable OTR experience within the last year from date of application.

• Applicants are required to provide 10 years of work history per the state of Texas

• Experience in snow, ice and inclement weather conditions.

Applicants must be able to pass online training classes, be comfortable with using phone or tablet to scan in BOL's PROMPTLY after load is delivered from truck as well as be familiar with ELOG's.

• Excellent communication skills between driver and brokers and dispatch is a MUST.

• Applicant must be willing to stand on docks at shippers and receivers to ensure all freight is loaded undamaged. Additionally, drivers must be willing to secure freight with straps inside dry van and load bars if pulling reefer.

• Driver must make sure all paperwork matches freight commodities loaded.

• Driver must be willing to run all 48 states.

• Driver must arrive on time to shipments and deliveries weather permitting.

• Load types and lanes vary from Texas and surrounding states to over the road running.

• Weekly pay is available, W2

Driver Criteria:

• Age of drivers – 23 to 72

• No CDL driver with less than 2 years verifiable experience

• When submitting midterm MVR’s, provide the original CDL issue date or prior experience

• All drivers are required to have a US issued driver’s license

• CDL Physicals must be up to date with long form if new hire has valid medical.

• Must NOT have an automatic endorsement

• MUST have OTR Experience

• 2-3 weeks out.

Driver Compensation​

• Driver paychecks range between $1000- $1600 per week depending on how efficient you run. Anything dispatched before Sunday at midnight is paid on following weeks paycheck.

• breakdown pay $80 a day and paid hotel on the road in the event of breakdown.

• $50 per extra stop pay

MVR Criteria:

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years

• No more than 1 accident and 1 moving violation in the last 3 years

• Mobile phone violations shall be considered as a moving violation

• No alcohol or drug related violations in the last 5 years, any such violation appearing on the MVR beyond 5 years is a carrier referral. If the reinstatement of such violation occurred within the last 3 years, the driver shall be deemed ineligible.

• No MAJOR violations including the following in the last 3 years:

• Reckless driving

• Speeding at more than 25 miles per hour over the speed limit

• Any conviction for driving with suspended/revoked driver’s license

• Leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run)

• Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony

• Negligent, homicide, manslaughter or assault arising out of operation of a motor vehicle

Any individual not meeting these requirements may result in driver exclusion or the policy’s cancellation, subject to carrier review.

These are minimum requirements to be considered for employment.
